Helen, Cornelia, Cleveland and Clarkesville are 4 towns very close by with wineries, restaurants, shopping, fly fishing, hiking and more. The best time is spent at the house playing in the river or enjoying the sounds of the river from the large screened porch. Very easy access to the water. Views of the River are best in the wintertime when the leaves have fallen and the trees are bare. Fire Place, Fire Pit and firewood at the house. Spend your days on the large screened-in porch and lower deck overlooking the Chattahoochee River in Demorest, Georgia watching the tubers, canoes, kayaks go by. Get adventurous! Use the shuttle service provided by the local outfitters and go kayaking with the sit-on-tops kayaks they provide for rent. Go fishing in the river or hike along the river.
