Located in the foothills of the Ore Mountains between Meissen, Freiberg and Dresden, this one kilometre-long property which houses Villa Rotschönberg lies directly on the riverbank of the Freiberger Mulde and is surrounded by parks and a private forest. The manufacturer's villa recalls a long history: since 1830 it was part of a silver ore smelter, later the residence of a pulp and cardboard paper mill owner. In 1904 all the factory buildings were rebuilt in Art Nouveau style. In 1958 the cardboard factory burned down completely; only the villa could be saved. From 1990 to 2019, the artist TM Rotschönberg reconstructed the building and the entire property using the highest standards in order to make it available to guests. After all, such an attractive and at the same time secluded location is hard to find. From here you can visit Meissen, Dresden (a trip on the paddle steamer to Saxon Switzerland is an unforgettable experience), to the Freiberg Mining Museum or to Augustusburg Castle. The well-marked Mulde bike path from Holzau to Dessau goes right past the property; however, various bike trips of 30 to 60 km in length that start and end at the house can also be planned along field and forest trails. There are bicycles you can borrow.
