Village centre location, and the oldest house in the village, the site has been occupied since Roman times. Perfectly secluded from the hustle and bustle of Bourton on the Water, within it's own private walled garden (with gated access to the Monarch's Way footpath).

However the undisputed jewel is the river Windrush, which flows through the centre of the village, flanked by the village green, and crossed by no less than five stone bridges. The village is well served with a post office, two supermarkets including the Coop flagship all within minutes walk of the house. Riding is available at a local stable at one end of the village, and there are extensive fishing lakes at the other. Summary: What an amazing house this is, with it's original and quirky features it is a place that could be truly amazingThe owner was very nice, friendly and attentiveHowever, the cleanliness e.g. dusting and hoovering need to be much betterThere was also issues with damp and mould in some areas which would be easily fixed with additional ventilationThe main issue for me though was the security, unfortunately the back door in to the utility room did not shut and or lock at all, having kids with us this was a worry and we had to block the doors for piece of mindThe location is perfect and only a 2 minute walk to the front of Bourton on the Water
