Positive: The apartment itself is absolutely beautiful — spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into making it comfortable and functional for guests. The space is equipped with everything you could possibly need for both short and long stays, including a fully stocked kitchen, modern appliances, and plenty of storage. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the attention to small details like extra blankets, kitchen essentials, and even little touches that made it feel like a home away from home.
Negative: We had a disappointing experience with the check-in process due to poor communication. The owner had requested that we message him one hour before arrival to ensure a smooth check-in. We actually messaged him two hours in advance via WhatsApp, as we didn’t have SMS roaming, and also sent messages through Booking and the accommodation’s WhatsApp (where we had previously sent our passports). Despite multiple attempts, we received no response for over an hour, which left us anxious and unsure if our booking was even confirmed. Eventually, the owner replied and assured us he would meet us one hour before our arrival. However, when we arrived, he wasn’t there. I messaged him again and, after getting no reply for another 10 minutes, we had to call him using our roaming, since his internet was likely off, probably because he wasn’t even in Slovenia at the time. Only then did he inform us that he was in Italy and would send his mother to meet us instead. This unexpected situation meant we had to wait 30 minutes in the car, which disrupted our tightly planned day and was generally not a great start to our stay. We’re still not sure if he forgot about us or what exactly happened, but the lack of timely communication and responsibility definitely impacted our experience.
