* sea turtle nesting season is from march 1 to october 31 each year during the night time (dusk to dawn)
* for properties next to the beach:
* glass windows and doors are to be covered during nighttime hours or interior lights need to be turned off
rear porch lights are to be turned off
* nighttime lighting is prohibited from illuminating any portion of the beach
* no flashlights are to be used while walking on the beach
* look out for sea turtle nests and do not disturb nests when walking or enjoying the beach
* if hatchlings are observed, leave them alone and make sure all light sources are extinguished
* if hatchlings are observed heading away from the ocean, call the local police
* leave nothing on the beach after your visit.
