The wine country a short drive away, and I do mean short - like 3 minutes short - where you can begin your weekend wine tasting at Oswego Hills before setting off to the heart of the Willamette Valley and its appellations in Sherwood (25 min), Dundee (41 min), Dayton (46 min.), Carlton and McMinnville (54 min). The spectacular Gorge is only a 1/2 an hour Multnomah Falls (45 min,) and Hood Rive (1:15) and tje Oregon coast (Tillamook and Cannon Beach) is a tad over an hour and a half. The crown jewel of the State Park system (Silver Falls) is also only an hour away.
