Positioned pride of place on Opossum Bay beach, on the waters edge, the property has three large bedrooms, two generous bathrooms, a large sun-filled open plan living space, full kitchen with dishwasher and all the amenities one would need for entertaining. If you want the WOW factor then look no further! This is the venue for your next dream beach vacation! Get lost in the serenity, enjoying stunning sunsets on the deck with uninterrupted beach and mountain views, swim in the sheltered bay directly out the front or make the most of some of Tasmania's best surf beaches just minutes away. A perfect place for fishing, diving, boating, hiking, golfing and exploring or just curl up and read a book. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves lapping at the shore. Double storey living, all three bedrooms are situated on the top level, including large ensuite in the Master bedroom. The master suite also offers direct access onto your very own, exceptionally large private deck overlooking the bay - a perfect spot to enjoy a cup of tea in the morning as you watch the waves lapping on the beach. On the ground floor we have large open plan living space with flat screen TV and sound system and huge windows overlooking the bay. The Lighthouse is the perfect spot to watch the SYD-HBA yacht race. Settle in and watch the spectacular yachts tack into the bay on the final leg of their journey to Hobart. Watch dolphins and seals exploring the bay from the comfort of your deck chair on the verandah. In the cooler months, watch out for whale tails! For aurora hunters, auroras can be witnessed year round, with your chances increased if you book your stay around the equinox. Enquire for guiding services. Book early for the summer as The Lighthouse is extremely popular from December to March and bookings fill early. All this within 40 minutes of Hobart CBD and 30 minutes from Hobart Airport make The Lighthouse in Opossum Bay an attractive destination for couple getaways, executives retreat, family holidays or simply to take time out. The Opossum Bay Store is a stroll away stocking most supplies, including fuel, milk and bread. Hill St IGA supermarket is a short and pleasant 15 minute country drive away. If you're looking to dine out, there is a local RSL serving great meals each night, only minutes away. Jetty and boat ramp is at the southern end of the bay and there is ample off street parking for cars and boat at The Lighthouse. There is a fabulous playground within walking distance of The Lighthouse for the younger kids. If you're after a house with unique design, sunny aspect from every room, mountain views, gorgeous beach walks, jetty jumping, fishing from the canoe, golf course, surf beach nearby & BBQ facilities with both indoor & outdoor dining areas and, of course, serious WOW-factor, then look no further than The Lighthouse. Guests can access the property by combination locked box on site and will have complete privacy during their stay at The Lighthouse. However, should you need any assistance during your stay, i am available on my mobile 24/7 and have a manager who lives minutes away. Myself or my manager is always available if needed. We have a fully stocked boat shed with: Canoe, Boogie boards, Totem tennis, Beach cricket, kids beach toys and much, much more. There is a bus that travels to and from Hobart twice daily..
