Summary: So pleased we discovered The Great House rather than go to one of the usual characterless hotel chains. It’s a step back in time, the House is set in its own grounds that was once a sugar plantation and well away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas. All the staff were so efficient and helpful and went out of their way to provide an excellent service. We stayed in one of the Garden Cottages, it was very clean, comfortable and spacious with a lovely cool veranda, complete with hammock. We had a wonderful massage & a excellent yoga class during our stay. Really can’t recommend The Great House highly enough - particularly if you’re looking for something a little less “run of the mill”
