On the shore of Bass Harbor, close to Acadia National Park and on the outskirts of Bass Harbor Village, the Carriage House offers a private working-waterfront setting for vacation or retreat. Located on the 'quietside' of Mount Desert Island, this cottage has spectacular views of the water - if you watch closely, you may see an eagle on the wing or a seal splashing in the harbor. The tide will change in front of your eyes.

It is a half hour from whale watches in Bar Harbor and away from 'the action'. Our Carriage House has commanding views of Bass Harbor and Blue Hill Bay and also offers a second floor 'under the eaves' master bedroom with a balcony, electric fireplace, personal sauna, skylights, queen bed, flat-screen television and shower bath. The first floor has a full bath, basic modern galley kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, and living area with gas fireplace, flat-screen Roku TV, first floor deck overlooking Bass Harbor and one first floor bedroom with two double beds. Free in-cottage high speed wifi. Free parking for one vehicle, including motorcycles.
