This house was built by Captain George W. Cook in early 1800s. He was the Captain of a merchant sailing vessel called the Jed F. Duren. a large vessel at 112 tonnes. Materials to build the house were brought in on a barge from Nova Scotia and a crew from Gloucester, Mass built the house. 2 of Captain George W Cook's original navigation maps are mounted in the house. One in the current Captain's Master Bedroom and one in the living room. this house is really cool and the water and sunset views are amazing!!
