Positive: It was bright and airy. Plenty of room for 14 people. The hot tub was great and clean. Although the rattan on the ceiling is moldy and falling down. The separate building with the pool table was nice. The table football was broken but we managed to fix it. The living room was great with the comfy couches and the TV. We all watched England win the Women’s Championship! The long table in the kitchen was perfect for all of us. Plenty of dishes and pots and pans provided for us to make a meal. Just missing large bowls to toss a salad or mix stuff in. There are 4 toilets total. 👍🏻 Which is not so clearly stated. 1 bath and 1 shower. They provided each bed with 2 towels. There was liquid hand soap and dish soap. 👍🏻 No hand towels. Bring your own paper towels. They had a dishwasher, fridge was new, 2 ovens👌🏼, leaky kitchen sink though. Couldn’t find the washing machine, although it had been stated to have one.
Negative: My biggest complaint is the lack of communication. I never got a response back when we were looking for the WiFi and password. We eventually found it under the router. I also asked, on 3 numbers provided, for where the washing machine was. No response. I personally talked to someone at Sykes Cottages before our vacation, to ask the owner to provide extra sheets and that wasn’t there either. Sykes Cottages needs to get their customer service together. I would never rent from them again due to their lack of communication. 👎🏼 -No washing machine, which they said there was. -Toilets were dirty. So we had to wash them. -They didn’t provide enough toilet paper. We had to purchase more and left it there for them. -Kids bed had pee stains on the mattress. But it did not smell. -Spots on the white kitchen floor, which shouldn’t have been missed. ( sloppy cleaning) -Foosball (table football) was broken but lucky for them, we managed to fix it. -The picnic table outside, with the chains swings as chairs, is an accident waiting to happen. 4 people fell off them. Very awkward to sit on.
