Negative: Unfortunately, our experience at Steigenberger Ras Soma was extremely disappointing and upsetting. We came for relaxation and a pleasant stay, but instead we faced very unprofessional and inappropriate behavior from some of the staff in the restaurant and buffet. One of the waiters behaved in a very disrespectful way, making offensive and inappropriate comments to me such as: “What a beauty.” This is completely unacceptable and felt like verbal harassment. I did not come here to be disrespected or made to feel uncomfortable in such a way. On top of that, one of the chefs at the waffle station even asked me for my Instagram account — another highly unprofessional and inappropriate act. Because of these disturbing incidents, we avoided going to the buffet altogether, and what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation turned into a stressful and unpleasant experience. Honestly, this was one of the worst hotel stays we have ever had. We will never return to Steigenberger Ras Soma, and we cannot recommend it to anyone. I hope management takes this feedback very seriously, because such behavior damages the reputation of the entire hotel.
