Summary: What a fun and adventurous vacation for us! We were first timers to houseboating but enjoy unique experiences and the location was a perfect halfway meeting point for all of us. Look at You Tube videos and read up on houseboat operation before you go. They do give you an orientation and allow you to video it and there's a binder with all the information as well. However, if you are not a boater, it's a lot to process. Fortunately, they respond to your phone calls when you have problems. Phone service is most reliable in the middle of the lake. The boat' kitchen is well equipped, the hot tub and slide into the water gave us hours of entertainment. Quarters are tight in the bedrooms. Pack light as you can in terms of clothes. There were 4 of us and although the boat sleeps 14 I really wouldn't be comfortable with more than eight; you would be stepping all over each other. The stars at night are spectacular and views of the mountain from the lake are breathtaking. I'm so glad we chose this as our first vacation in over a year.
