Summary: Warning - VACASA property management property. Not owner managed. No interactions will be through VRBO and communications mat result in you having to call a 1-800 call center rather than the simplicity of using the VRBO app. The property would have been great, but it was clear the the property management company doesn't care about the renters like a VRBO owner would. The driveway was a dangerous, unsalted sheet of ice. The porches weren't shoveled at all leaving them completely unusable due to the foot of ice. The steps to the lake, all 67 of them, were completely uncleared despite the proximity and access to the lake being a major selling point. We've stayed at tons of properties in snowy areas during the winter and have never seen one this unprepared for renters. It's like they thought no one would rent in the winter or they forgot we were coming. If you need anything, like the property manager to address a broken garbage disposal and a clogged sink, well they won't answer on VRBO, instead they want you to call their 800 number and wait on hold. We never heard back during our stay, maybe your results will vary. All in all, snow removal aside, it seems like a great property and cool owners... But VACASA, their property manager company ruined it for us.
