Summary: When we arrived at the hotel we were told our room will be 58°C as the AC is not working. We checked the room and it wasn’t that hot so we checked in anyway. Unfortunately check in was poor. We were not told about breakfast, nor when we should check out. The hotel had only one fan, which was being used by the night worker and so they couldn’t provide any for guests despite the AC being broken. I understand some things are out of their control, but no contingencies were in place for guests, and normal procedures not even complete. The rate for the night we stayed ahead also dropped to from 160 to 90, yet no compensation was offered for the loss of pre sold amenities. Separately my VIP hotels.com status was not acknowledged and the benefits not honoured.
