Summary: The hotel is in deed of some TLC and it seems, has been for some time. The pool was unavailable as the water had not yet been certified but the beach is within easy striking distance. The towels and bedding were spotlessly clean; the king size bed was exceptionally comfortable - we never tried the bunks. The sound and view of the ocean from the balcony was exactly what we were hoping for in Biarritz but the room remained quiet with the shutters and patio doors closed. We were surprised to find a kitchenette which was welcome. Ample parking for free was most welcome: garage parking is offered at additional cost. I would not hesitate in returning - the price reflects the experience and the staff were kind and considerate.
