all guests who have stayed with me and come back to toronto come back to stay in my home, year after year i also have a police clearance and police record check (which means you are living in a safe home with a safe host)!
the house was recently renovated, so some of the descriptions might not make sense for the space now as it is (post- renovation)

(chile& france)"barabara fue una host súper amable! la habitación tiene todo lo que necesites y la ubicación de la casa es súper conveniente para moverte por cualquier barrio de toronto a pesar de que hice la reserva a ultimo minuto, barbara se preocupó en todo momento que estuviera lista la habitación para mi y que no me faltara nada en mi estadía, incluso el desayuno esta incluido! realmente recomiendo este lugar para quedarse si vas a toronto, te gusta compartir con gente de distintas nacionalidades, te gustan los gatos amistosos y quieres sentirte como en casa :) gracias barbara!

Basic amenities were well supplied for the entirety of our stay. Barbara was prompt with her replies and constantly kept in contact with us throughout. It was a pleasant experience, neighbourhood is safe with many food choices just a few minutes walk away. Convenient to get to the subway too. O quarto recebe bastante luz, é arejado e, apesar de ser de frente para a rua, é silencioso, pois o bairro é bem tranquilo. Haviam mais duas pessoas na casa, mas dividir a cozinha e o banheiro não foi problema. Os gatos são bem simpáticos também lol. Foi uma estadia muito confortável, tornando minha experiência em Toronto ainda mais agradável. "

***my home is located in the most desirable area of toronto - not "near downtown" - right in the best area of downtown toronto! : 0 ) the house is located in the annex/seaton village (bloor st & bathurst st) Live in a clean, safe, friendly home in the most popular and desirable residential area of downtown Toronto (in a quiet residential neighbourhood) with a native speaking ESL Teacher! The house is just a 3-5 minute walk to Bathurst subway station (on the Bloor-Danforth line)! Unlike most hosts, I have a police record check done on myself every few years, so that way you know you would be staying in a safe home with someone who isn't a criminal! : 0 ) It's only a 2 minute walk from 24 hour bus and streetcar lines. Close to universities, colleges, international schools (ILAC, Global Village, Cornerstone etc etc) universities and colleges (University of Toronto, OISE, George Brown, Ryerson etc) cafes, libraries, shops, theatres, restaurants etc. Close to Koreatown, Mirvish Village, Casa Loma, Little Italy, Chinatown etc. my home is located in the most popular neighbourhood right in downtown toronto!
*** as i work from home, this homestay is better suited for older guests or ones with a high level of english (as you need to be pretty independent) You would need to be at work/school/sightseeing/out of the house during the day so that I can work.***
you would have your own bedroom but be sharing a second floor apartment in my house with myself, and my sweet dog, robertito You would also be sharing the bathroom, kitchen and living room with me as well.
there is a washer/dryer in the house and i will do your laundry 1-2 times per week (as it's a complicated machine and it's easier for me to use) High speed wireless internet is included.
i have a very friendly, gentle dog, robertito, who lives here with me He is very friendly, well behaved and usually pretty quiet.
***the 15 % deposit that you pay to this web site goes only to them, i don't receive any of that In order to hold the room for the dates you have requested, any bookings that are longer than 1 day must pay a 50% deposit (directly to me) of the final booking total to be paid. Since most of my guests are from overseas, this can be arranged with wire or bank transfer. Unfortunately this website does not tell you that information in advance. Please note: Out of consideration for other guests who want to book with me, any changes or cancellations to bookings/stays that are longer than 30 days in duration require 60 days advance notice to me directly. this is a cosy, small bedroom, with a comfortable double bed, and high ceiling The window partially overlooks the lovely back garden. There is a small bedside table and lamp as well as a small, narrow dresser to keep your clothes in..
