Beautiful, remodeled 2 br 1 bath home (870 sq ft) within walking distance of a grocery store, liquor store, restaurant BEACH,etc . . .what more could you ask for! Located at the end of the street adjacent to an empty lot, serenity and privacy is yours. Our location has the added benefit of always having a great breeze, huge outside area, downstairs sitting areas while enjoying the downstairs area. A fully stocked kitchen, makes it easy to enjoy cooking and cleaning with full-size stove, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal and refrigerator with filtered water/ice maker, Fry daddy, toaster, wafflemaker, pancake maker, crock pot, coffee maker, Keurig ( bring your special coffee and tea pods!), bread maker, blender, wine/margarita/ champagne glasses! Large pot for lobster and shrimp. Central heat/air. Lots of windows to enjoy the outside from inside. As you sit on the front deck enjoy the beautiful sunset or drive down Bob Smith to view and/or photograph breath-taking pictures! Outdoor 24 hr video survellience for your personal safety has been installed. Home is within 5 blocks of the beach, approximately 1/4 a mile. Please see pic for a general view of where house is versus beach, restaurants, etc. wifi name and password in on bottom of router.
paper products are provided to get you started Many spices/seasonings and cooking staples are provided by owner. There are some condiments in fridge for your convenience. Bath towels/washcloths are provided. Travel size body wash, soap/shampoo/lotion provided to get you through a couple of days in case you forgot yours. Please bring your own beach towels.

Second bedroom with twin and pull- out trundle. Sleeps 4 very comfortably. Extra twin bed mattress ( in closet) or Intex instant fill 16 inch twin blow up and a Queen blow up located in closet.
each bedroom has ceiling fans, lots of drawer space for your personal belongings with plenty of closet space We have tried to think of little extras: Rowenta iron and board (in main closet), hair dryer, flat iron, sewing thread /needle, emergency medical kit (red/blue bedroom closet shelf), lotion, hair spray, etc.
25 or so games and several local books are provided A beautiful large, fossil stone table and a teak table that can be expanded, hammock and BBQ pit are on bottom deck. upstairs front porch has 2 comfortable chairs for watching sunsets and enjoying a glass of wine/beer!
2 boogie boards and a couple of lawn chairs for beach available upon request There are several great areas to fish or go flounder gigging. (Fishing license - 1 day or year - may be acquired on line or at many stores including Walmart). We also have 6 crab traps if you want to catch your own crabs. There is a grassy area where 2 cars/boat can be parked and across driveway is an area you can park as well if needed. .
check in time is 5 pm and checkout time is 11am If needed earlier/ later please let us know. We will try to accommodate your request. All Friday nights require a Saturday night stay. If renting for over 2 weeks an insurance policy fee is required with your reservation. This will cover any accidents with no additional money out of your pocket.

jamaica beach is the neighboring subdivision next to the state park The local police force gives you peace of mind, with their round the clock patrolling of the area. There is a bird sanctuary and a community pool (5.00 fee charged or can pay a monthly fee) just off Bob Smith Drive within the neighbor-hood. Hours are 10 am- 8pm. Children 6 years and under are free.
we are very close to a couple of good night spots, woody's, nate's ( 17515 termini-san luis pass rd) and the west end restaurant (has fine dining upstairs- or eat by water/dock) The Islands best Hamburgers are at the Blue Water Grill, plus they deliver. If you are in a hurry 'Subway' is under 1/4 a mile. "Shrimp and Stuff" food truck is located by car wash as you enter JBeach (within walking distance of house). Bait stores are located within 3 miles and also by West End restaurant. We have an extensive book with things to do, booking information and coupons to many of the great activities found within the area (located by blue recliner).
galveston is just down the road with all of its' famous attractions Schlitterbahn has its' indoor water park open year-round. Moody Garden has a beautiful aquarium, IMAX theater, and many other fun family attractions. Multiple museums are scattered throughout the island including a flight museum. The Pleasure Pier (61st street) is an amusement park and great activitues to share in while over the Gulf of Mexico. Originally built in 1943 the first of its kind was destroyed during the 1961 Hurricane Carla . Rebuilt in 2012. There is also minature golf that many seem to enjoy especially at night! Fishing off the pier is a very popular event for both residents and tourists. Groupon offers special pricing for a few of the events mentioned.
