You’ll find fisherman, bikers when the tide recedes, walkers, surfers, kite boarders, shell gatherers, and of course sun bathers! Nearby there are bicycles and beach toys for rent. Further south, 4 wheel drive vehicles are allowed on the beach. Saint Augustine city center, less than a half mile of the house, is the most ancient, gorgeous city in Florida...and America for that matter! It hosts restaurants, stunning historic churches, some of the finest art galleries and a myriad of chic boutique shops. The first Friday of every month features an Art Walk, where some galleries even serve refreshments and stay open in the evening. As you walk cobble stone streets you have opportunity to explore history all around you, often hearing church bells. you can sight see through horse and buggy or trolley tours, or just shop til you drop! you will want to return year after year!
