The mid century design is an open-plan with the living room, dining room, and kitchen all comprising one great room with a wall of windows looking out over sand dunes and partial views of the crashing surf. Great deck facing the beach and front sand "yard" with fire pit and play area for kids and adults.
our house is a vintage 1960s house (read: not a new build) It is remodeled, but definitely still has "vintage charm". If this appeals to you, great! If not, there are lots of new modern rentals available in Manzanita.

The area is a natural paradise that includes hiking trails through old growth forests with incredible ocean vistas, miles of bike paths in Nehalem Bay State Park (1/2 mile), surfing at Oswald State Park/Short Sands (10 min drive), fishing in Nehalem River, and crabbing in Nehalem Bay. Golfers will enjoy Manzanita's beautiful and challenging nine hole course (1/3 mile).
