Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The property was easy to access with a keyed pad and seemed quite secure. Overall, the space including the pool was clean and pleasant. The beds were comfortable if a little firm. The owner was excellent—friendly, polite and quick to answer questions about the property and the area. Excellent refrigerator. Shampoo, soap and dish detergent provided. A nice little treat basket was left as well. We didn't use it, but it was appreciated. The fact that pets did not cost extra was a surprise bonus. The provided parking with gate was great (our Kia Soul just fit so anything bigger would have a problem). I have a lot of details about what I didn't like about the property, but overall it was a decent place to stay (except for the loud street).
Negative: The street is very noisy, day and night except for around 3:00 in the morning. The main living area is a bit of an echo chamber and could be improved by adding some soft furniture or something to absorb the sound. The second bedroom is separated by a courtyard and up a flight of stairs. The second bathroom is at the bottom of the stairs. The conch shower heads are cute but not very functional. As for pets, the property has lots of room for them to move around, but the courtyard has no area for them to do their business. Outside, there are few areas where the dogs can use the bathroom. We managed to find an odd tiny patch of grass here and there. There is a park within walking distance, but it is used by many animals who leave "treats." Unfortunately, the property is not actually walkable to centro and any of the places most tourists would want to visit. Also, there are few restaurants nearby and the only coffee shop within walking distance does not open until noon.
