Summary: We own a home in a nearby neighborhood and moved into this apartment for 3 1/2 months during a renovation. The apartment had been cleaned prior to our move-in, however, there hasn’t been a deep clean in a long time. Under the bathroom vanity, baseboards, etc. could use some attention. Also, the oven was filthy. I did not run the oven clean cycle because the exhaust fan is not attached properly and blows into the room instead of sucking the air out. Without a good way to air the room, the smoke detector goes off. The apartment building is quite secure and the furnishings are comfortable and modern. The kitchen is fairly well equipped. For us, the location was just about perfect because our house is less than a mile away and we could walk back and forth. City Park (access to the Zoo and the Museum of Nature and Science) is across the street and provided many hours of walking. There are a variety of restaurants and a coffee shop 2-5 blocks away on 17th Street.
