- private swimming area in warm, clear bottom water Lake Simcoe is wonderful for swimming. The waterfront is zero entry and gets gradually deeper - only waist deep at the end of the dock. The water is clear, without weeds with a sandy/stony bottom. We all wear swim shoes for the stones.
