Positive: Nice house that is very comfortable, nice soft beds & pillows, beautiful wood floors, well-equipped kitchen. Great outdoor shower! Nice deck view with seating. Never even got my lawn chairs out of the truck. Also, having kayaks available is a nice touch. Many beach towels available as well. House was very clean and tidy, nicely decorated and full of games for family friendly entertainment. It's a great rental if you don't anticipate leaving the house or the deck, but still like looking at the water.
Negative: The yard was not mowed and with the lake being down, it's a hike to the water through tall grass and horrible sticker patches. Not really swimmable, as the lake came up with all of the weed growth, so getting in the water is full of growth, making fishing difficult as well. There are the kayaks to get you out further if you have someone who can carry them over the rocky terrain. Would be much improved with mowing/weedeating and a deck out to the water. At night, we left a lamp on in the bedroom to come in to find a ceiling full of flying insects that came in through the gap at the top of the door. Check in is not until 4 and then you have to check out by 10 unless you pay an additional fee. For the price of the rental at 18 hours, it's not really worth it if you expect to fish and swim. I called/texted the help line to Vacasa, but because it was after 5 on a holiday weekend, they wouldn't even send someone out to cut a path through the foot-tall grass and sticker patches to get down to the lake. This was the first time I've used Vacasa, but not at all impressed, think I'll stick with other rental companies that take better care of the grounds as well as the property they list. Not a water-sport friendly rental.
