The Company House is a rustic stone and wood cottage on a beautiful mountainside, with some modern amenities (wifi, smart TVs) for a pleasant stay. The home is an historic, 2-story former corporate executives retreat, on the slopes of Little Bearwallow Mountain in a small community established in the 1920s -- Chestnut Hills -- located in Gerton, NC, at the top of Hickory Nut Gorge.
lower level master suite has king bed, flat screen tv, dvd player, private outside entrance, extra large walk-in shower, private porch and great view of little pisgah mountain
main level has two bedrooms -- a king bedroom, and one with two twin beds -- and a full bath This level has an open floor plan with living and dining areas, plus kitchen. Living area has flat screen TV, gas logs in old stone fireplace and a small library. Kitchen is equipped with new appliances. Living area opens onto carport in back and large front porch/balcony with view of mountains and beautiful yard full of native plants. This porch becomes the main living space as weather permits. Inside living area has comfortable furniture.
