Positive: I will be honest in my review, because if I had known these details in advance, I would not have booked this hotel. Positive aspects • The view from the balcony is truly beautiful, facing directly towards the mountains. • The bed and bedding were very comfortable, and I slept well. • Breakfast was more than sufficient for a hearty meal, with a fairly good variety. • The staff was polite and friendly.
Negative: Unfortunately, the negative aspects outweighed the positives and defined my overall impression of the hotel: 1. Unclear spa rules Nowhere was it mentioned that the sauna and jacuzzi had to be booked in advance in half-hour slots. I was lucky to check in early (around 10 a.m.) and noticed the booking sheet at reception. Only one slot was left, from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. for the jacuzzi, which I managed to reserve. However, this means that any guest checking in later in the day would most likely have no chance of using these facilities in the evening. 2. Extra charges not advertised The saunas require an additional fee, which was not stated anywhere before booking. The cost is 30 PLN per 30 minutes. While it is not a large amount, the saunas themselves were very small and poorly designed. The hotel has two tiny saunas (a hammam and a Finnish sauna), each fitting only up to three people. As far as I understood, each sauna requires a separate payment, meaning both would cost 60 PLN for just half an hour each. 3. Jacuzzi issues • When I arrived for my reserved slot, the jacuzzi was still occupied by other guests. • The jacuzzi is designed for three people, but eventually there were four of us squeezed inside because another family joined during my time. This was extremely uncomfortable and I had to leave earlier than planned. • The jacuzzi itself felt unclean. The air around it smelled unpleasant, and upon closer inspection, I noticed yellowish deposits around the water jets, which made me feel even more uncomfortable staying inside. 4. Hammam not up to standard The hammam (steam bath) did not have a water spray or shower, which is a basic requirement in hammams to clean the surfaces before and after use. As a result, guests sit directly on wet benches without knowing how clean they really are. 5. Schedule inconvenience Because the spa had to be booked in limited slots, I had to cut my planned hike shorter by about 1.
