Positive: The location was great- beautiful sunsets, the rocky beach was great- we saw seals, grey whales, eagles, bunnies, blue herons. The kitchen is adequately supplied-it was great having coffee filters and the spices and plenty of dishwasher detergent. It was also nice having the complimentary laundry soap. The location on the island is great but a little far away from the town if that is what you like- we enjoy being off the beaten path. There were sand chairs available but we never used them- too early in the season (April) for that.
Negative: The mouse poop and ants were not welcome. The ants were taken care of and the mouse poop was cleaned up after we complained about it. There was no shower curtain in the upstairs bathroom. The grill had not been cleaned- there was not enough olive oil to clean the grill and then oil it- so we didn't use it. There also was really no furniture to sit outside on the deck- which was too bad because the view from the deck is fantastic. The water is drinkable but tastes bad for just water bottles- so bring drinking water and ice if you want ice in your drinks. It was fine for cooking. Showers were ok- not much for water pressure but the water was hot enough- it did smell slightly.
Summary: Great place- a little pricey for the experience.
