our spacious country-house is about 150 years old, but the interior was completely refurbished in 2014 It was redecorated in a modern style with luxurious furniture, fixtures and fittings. The restyling was inspired and led by the renowned Dutch designer, Joris van Grinsven (www. Seigneursdeclerand. com). Joris has restyled many historic French houses and hotels and given them a new future whilst at the same time, respecting the historic elements in the original buildings.
the garden around the house and pool is laid to lawn, but includes lavender beds and some fine majestic trees offering lovely, aromatic shade The three rooms on the south-facing rear of the house open onto the wide, very pleasant terrace. with its large family-sized table and parasols, what better way can there be to unwind and enjoy the local produce?
in the sunniest part of the two-acre garden we have built a new 12mx6m swimming-pool surrounded by a deck to soak up the southern sun The pool is safely fenced.
