**important information: starting in january 2019, the state of massachusetts passed a new set of taxes on short-term rentals The total increase in the rate for this cottage is approximately 12% on top of the $1825 rent. To decrease the impact of this tax the owner will pay half of it and the renter will pay the other half (6%.) This applies only to rentals that start on 7/1/19 and anyone who booked before 1/1/19 is exempt from the tax. It is a very unfortunate lack of support by the state for the tourism on which Provincetown is so grateful for and dependent upon!.
