Our beautiful cottage is in the picturesque village of Hunton in Lower Wensleydale. The village shop is next door and the pub is almost opposite so you don't have to travel far if you don't wish to, but if you do then there is a wealth of things to see and do in the local area. It is a fantastic area for walking and cycling. There is horse racing at Catterick & Ripon and horses can be seen on the gallops at nearby Middleham early each morning. You can enjoy family trips to The Forbidden Corner, Hawes Creamery (the home of Wensleydale cheese), Lightwater Valley and the two breweries in Masham. There are regular markets in the towns of Leyburn, Bedale, Richmond & Masham all of which are a short drive away. There are castles to explore at Richmond and Middleham. And after a hard day of exciting trips around the area there are numerous pubs and restaurants where you can relax with something great to eat and drink. You will never be short of things to do!.
