The farmhouse is one of four farms that make up the hamlet of Brushfield, 10 minutes from Buxton and Bakewell. There are many spectacular walks from the bridleway lane in front of the house, including the Monsal Trail, (with the excellent Monsal Head pub en route), Cressbrook Dale, High Dale and the beautiful River Wye. The house has a small, enclosed lawn and pretty cottage garden, three stone terraces (two south-facing for al fresco eating; one tucked round the back)), front and back crofts, often occupied by some friendly sheep and lambs, and a garage opposite.
