a 10-minute drive to downtown birmingham and berkley, this newly remodeled southfield ranch features four beautiful bedrooms (each with its own smart tv) including a primary bedroom / bathroom suite The kitchen was completely re-done and includes a gas range, granite countertops, custom wood shelving, and stainless steel appliances. not to be outdone by the main floor, our basement is the secret highlight of the house with an entertaining area along with a work area featuring two full standing-desk, dual-monitor setups with docks, keyboards, mouses, and comfy office chairs! and to top it all off, relax or entertain in our back yard where we have a propane grill, a patio sitting area, string lights, a fire pit, and plenty of seating! with plenty of off-street parking, including space for a couple cars in our driveway, and also ample free street parking, this is the perfect spot for any gathering or extended getaway!

the first and main level of the home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms along with the kitchen, dining room, and living room The basement, down a full flight of stairs, features the workspace area with two standing desk setups, a separate entertaining / TV area, another bedroom, and the laundry room. The backyard has a entertaining area with outdoor seating and a fire pit (bring your own fire wood!), and then the patio includes a dining table for 6 and our propane grill.

we have a zero-tolerance policy for this We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.
we have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule

If a system malfunctions (i.e., hot water not functioning or a light has gone out), please send us a message on the app or website you booked on and we will be sure to address it in as short a time as possible (we usually respond within a few minutes). we also have handymen, electricians, plumbers, and landscapers with whom we work, so for any extenuating circumstances, we will happily bring them out to solve your issues post haste!

air mattress: designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate.

extra linens: in a plastic bin alongside the air mattress, you will find two bath towels and two hand towels, a set of sheets, and a throw blanket Please use pillows from one of the beds for the air mattress.

- no parties & no overnight guests without prior approval If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know.
- respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm
- please leave your shoes at the door
- no pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies
- no smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans They get stinky.
- if you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair
- do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.
