Amber Lodge offers guests a mix of cottage charm and contemporary luxury located in the historic Hahndorf area within walking distance of Hahndorf's cafes, pubs, galleries, boutique shops and world class wineries. When you pull up through the gates you’ll be welcomed by a driveway lined with beautiful Liquid Amber trees (particularly spectacular in Autumn) and manicured gardens. Unwind outside in the gardens, have a BBQ under the jacaranda tree, or your own mini Wimbledon on the tennis court or go for a swim in the lovely pool overlooking the horses grazing in the paddock. If you’re lucky, you might even see the local family of Kangaroos! Otherwise relax inside in front of the beautiful gas fire place with a glass in one hand and a book in another! The house comfortably sleeps 9 people with 2 queen beds, 2 double beds and a Sofa bed whilst there are 3 bathrooms to share. The kitchen is fitted with SMEG appliances and there are laundry facilities. BBQ facilities are also available. Two bathrooms have also been recently luxuriously renovated for your pleasure! All linen is provided and we also provide basic toiletries in an environmentally sustainable manner. Each bedroom is air conditioned for those warm summer days and has heating to keep you warm and cosy in the chilly winter nights. Amber Lodge is a stand-alone house let out as a whole, with full guest access to the house, gardens, tennis court and swimming pool. It can be rented by one couple or up to 4 couples travelling together as a maximum. Additional charges apply for each extra guest. For bookings less than 5 people we will provide access to 3 bedrooms. If the fourth bedroom is required for bookings of less than 5 people please let us know in advance. We also have Netflix available for those that don't want to miss the latest shows and movies. Whilst we also provide tennis rackets and tennis balls and board games. Please note we will be shutting down the pool from May-November as the pool is unheated. Unfortunately it is too cold to swim!.
