welcome to the hiking wonderland of the emmental
the spacious holiday flat is located on the first floor of the farmhouse Naturally with a separate entrance. The large eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for daily use. Sofa and armchair invite you to read. There is a book corner with books to take home if you haven't finished reading.
in the large bedroom there is a double bed (160x200), a chest of drawers and a wardrobe In the smaller bedroom there is a pull-out bed (1x90x200 and 1x90x190), a table and chairs and a chest of drawers with games. The wardrobe is close by.
we can also offer a folding bed, a mattress and a cot
on the balcony you can enjoy the peace and quiet and the cosy evenings There is a barbecue at the bottom of the garden seating area. A paddling pool for the little ones is within easy reach and can be set up quickly. We are constantly redesigning the outdoor area.
you can go on wonderful hikes or bike tours directly from the house In the summer months, the hiking bus runs to Lüderenalp. From there you can either hike "home" via the various routes or via Lüshütte to the Napf. From there, descend to Fankhaus and take the other hiking bus back to Bärau.

in winter you can be in marbach in 20 minutes and go skiing If there is enough snow, there are cross-country ski runs between Bärau and Langnau or Trub.

location description: our farm is about 1 kilometre from the centre of bärau Nestled between the river Gohl, which flows into the Ilfis in Bärau, and the small stream from the Chammershausgraben. Bärau belongs politically to the municipality of Langnau im Emmental. Langnau became famous far beyond its borders for its Emmental cheese and the doctor Schüpbach Micheli. Patients came from near and far. 6 times a year the fair takes place, Langnau was granted market rights over 550 years ago, which was very rare to have a market outside of a town. They won their only championship title in 1976.
