Walking, Hiking and Fishing are particularly popular around the area. The Scottish Border at Carter Bar is a mere 12 miles so you can easily visit Scotland whilst holidaying at Stonyfield. The border towns of Hawick, Kelso and Jedburgh are also easily accessible from here. Of course, you will want to visit Hadrian’s Wall, maybe stop off at Housesteads Roman Fort or why not take a trip over to the Northumberland Heritage Coast, only 32 miles to Warkworth Beach where you can spend a wonderful day exploring castles and beaches up and down this golden coastline.
