barely 100 km from vienna and 40 km from st Pölten lies Türnitz, in the headwaters of the upper Traisen Valley at 461 m above sea level, nestled in one of the most densely wooded regions of the Alpine foothills up to 1373 m. In a wooded valley basin, surrounded by unspoilt countryside, you will meet people who cultivate an intact local life, appreciate festivals and cosiness and are happy to let guests take part.

You can also return via the forest road. The Innerebengrotte natural monument is located on the right before the entrance to the gorge. The grotto is 12 metres wide, 8 metres high and deep. At a height of approx. 4 metres there is a spring that carries water all year round. The water falls freely to the bottom of the cave. The area around the Falcon Gorge is an ancient place of initiation with 3 magical circles. At the Iron Gate in particular, you can feel the change in the earth's energy or measure it with a rod or pendulum.
