Summary: The stay in Barnet was nice, but a little hampered by a few things (which, for the higher price, I would have expected more):1. The property was very dirty when we arrived, and it took a week to get a professional cleaner in to clean it. I ended up arranging a cleaner and getting reimbursed, as we couldn't find another one, and the regular cleaner couldn't come. We did a lot of our own cleaning in week 1 as a result.2. The shower dial and shower control hot water is temperamental, which means often you need to take cool showers. I reported this to the host, but didn't get a resolution. Hoping they replace the shower valve at some point, as it's not reliable.3. The place is very worn down with furniture falling apart and a very squeaky bed upstairs. Some furniture could do with being replaced very soon.4. Not having access to control the heating and hot water by ourselves was also a little tough in the first few nights, as it was very cold. We did have this resolved in a couple of nights, but it would be good to have full access to control our own water, heat, etc.It wasn’t all bad. The driveway is great. Having a back garden is nice too (a bit of outdoor furniture would be lovely though at a short-term rental). And the location is fantastic - near to High Barnet tube, convenient bus stops, a cinema and restaurants all within walking distance.Overall, a 3-4 star review, I stuck with 3 because having a spotless place when you arrive is super important.
