this family homestead located on one of the most spectacular spots on the san marcos river was built in 1920 and has been in the family of the current owners now since 1950 Lovingly restored and brought into modern times by the very people that were raised within the walls, the history and sense of peace and pride that permeate the space is apparent to all that enter.
inside the home are three private bedrooms and a large bunk room each with comfortable bedding and relaxing atmosphere There are three separate living areas making this space an ideal location not only for family getaways but small corporate retreats as well. The kitchen is completely modern and can provide as much inspiration for any budding designers as any show on HGTV! The best parts to many are the small details throughout the home. From the hand painted saw on the entry wall that has been a part of this home's history for as long as anyone can remember, to the family cattle brand painted on the floor of the living room. Every room has such a storied history and interesting features that everyone that visits will constantly discover something new.
as if the inside were not enough, the outdoor space is an absolute treasure The 800 square feet of deck overlooks a luscious lawn perfect for a friendly game of touch football or simply throwing a Frisbee around. The spectacular beauty of the river is mesmerizing. The gentle curves and the majestic trees towering above make this place very special indeed. A fire pit has been added to the riverbank for an evening of s'mores and tall tales, and an outdoor shower installed near the porch for any river dippers.
