this 1940’s farmhouse takes you back in time with a reminder of a slower pace and a visit to grandma’s Swing on the porch and watch the creek flow. Surrounded by farmland with the South Fork of the New River at the end of the road, this home is less than fifteen minutes from all of the conveniences of town and all the adventures or peace and quiet you seek on your vacation.
this is a great choice for couples and/or families as there is plenty of space to spread out There are two separate bedrooms downstairs with queen sized beds. All beds are doubly protected with mattress encasements and covers. Plenty of pillows and blankets. Linens also provided. The loft has two double beds with plenty of room for an air mattress or pack and play. The loft bedroom has a door between the bedroom and the sitting /play area.
the living room seating is comfortable with a large couch, large love seat and chair There is a tv with a roku for your streaming services. We have new gas logs that do an amazing job heating the home.
the kitchen is stocked beyond basics; including coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, sharp knives, mixing bowls, casserole dishes, plenty of plates, bowls, cups and silverware, etc There is seating for 10 on the side screened-in porch. Seating for six at kitchen table. Charcoal grill provided.
the property extends across the street For the adventurous, take a rustic hike through the creek and up the hills (map provided). Wildlife love to visit the creek area at feeding time. bring water shoes
