what makes korkhouse special
our little cabin is built for two and is perfect for both short escapes and long stays It's clad in eco-friendly cork, which inspired the name KorkHouse. We've gone all out on sustainability: there's a grey water recycling system, thick sheep's wool insulation to keep you cozy year-round, and we harness solar power for electricity. Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchenette, a super comfy memory foam mattress, and a wood burner to keep you warm. There's also a TV, a spacious hot shower, and a waterless composting toilet.

korkhouse sits on a mini island, complete with an outdoor dining area with wood stools and a dinner table – perfect for bbqs You can relax by the stream, enjoy the soothing sounds of our mini waterfall, and watch sheep and cows grazing nearby. If you're lucky, you might even spot a stag, deer, or our friendly ducks, Susan and Paul.

we built korkhouse in 2021 when we were just 22 and 24 years old We're two young creatives with a passion for design and tiny living. We wanted to create a place where people could truly live, not just stay for a night or two. We've poured our hearts into making KorkHouse a space where you can be comfortable, live sustainably, and find the peace and inspiration you need to create.
