we often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family and dog-friendly Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).
note: the tap water often has a yellow/light brown appearance due to high minerality levels -- specifically iron and manganese We've had the pipes/well inspected and there's nothing wrong with them; the presence of iron/manganese is normal in this area, and the water is perfectly safe to drink (although it can occasionally have a slight sulfur smell). We recommend bringing bottled water.
bedroom 2 does not have a door, but it is still fully private and provides a comfortable, quiet space for your stay
our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons we appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
we're just a short 15-minute drive to downtown luray and the famous luray caverns beyond the caves (which we recommend you check out), the town has fantastic breweries, restaurants, and shops for you to enjoy!
